cfv is a utility to both test and create .sfv, .csv, .crc, .md5(sfv-like), md5sum, bsd md5, sha1sum, and .torrent files. These files are commonly used to ensure the correct retrieval or storage of data.

Run the win32 installer and test.
It will be installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\cfv, but it looks like it doesn't have to be added to the PATH variable.

Install rescepy

Easiest way without installing git to keep up to date with changes is to click Download ZIP and extract to C:\rescepy.

I added rescepy.bat to a location in my PATH. (C:\pyReScene\bin\windows)

I noticed this doesn't work for me since I don't actually have pyReScene installed to the Python environment. (running python setup.py install on pyReScene)
I placed all the contents of C:\rescepy in C:\pyReScene. C:\pyReScene\rescepy will contain 5 .py files and resce.py is a level higher.

Supplying no parameters won't show the help.
Existing .nfo files will be overwritten without confirmation.
Movie file gets deleted before the rars have been checked with cfv
The existing .srr file stays in the folder. (OK!) But the .srr file grabbed from srrdb also stays there.

It will verify existing RAR files
It will try to reconstruct missing sample files

Fix the code (optional)

When running everything from source, there is no .exe. Just the name without the extension will work fine, except when you run directly without any installation like me. Then the names of the .bat files in C:\pyReScene\bin\windows are used. These files have an additional py prefix. This is the additional change you see.

Change self.binary = 'srr.exe' to self.binary = 'pysrr' or edit the rescepy.bat file and let —srr-bin point to the correct runnable (exe or bat).

C:\pyReScene\rescepy\srs.py

Change self.binary = 'srs.exe' to self.binary = 'pysrs' or edit the rescepy.bat file and let —srs-bin point to the correct runnable (exe or bat).

C:\pyReScene\rescepy\cfv.py

Change self.binary = 'cfv.exe' to self.binary = 'cfv' or edit the rescepy.bat file and let —cfv-bin point to the executable in "C:\Program Files (x86)\cfv".

+ best to quote the app replacement too? (in sp = subprocess.Popen('%s) subprocess.Popen can be avoided for pysrr and pysrs. (main() accepts two parameters)
